River in the Woods
Contours catch sparkles, heavenly beams from orb like marbles.
Carry forward as if fused, riveted flow with ethereal muse.
Fallen life blocks the flow! A threat to this eternal glow.
Damming tree grows tusks, perforated white of flowing must.
No conflict in this natural world. All is joined in a whirl.
When I look about life, river there is wrought with strife.
What a lesson in this creek, for all of us to stop the bleak.
I turn back to the scene, and cast my lot with the green.
For mother’s teaching such lessons, who am I to call to question.
In this river today I flow, I myself begun to glow.
